Lack of Inspiration

I'm sure its only a couple of months away from christmas, but yet all we seem to be crafting is christmas cards, crackers and other gifts we have carefully created for out loved ones. Often the ladies in my classes deliberate over who they are actually going to make items for, versus the simple store bought gifts. And, what we all have to realize is that some people just don't see the value of the gift you hand crafted, which often ends up more expensive than some store bought items.

So before we start crafting for "EVERYBODY", think about the type of person you are planning to give the crafted item too, and if they would treasure it.

Tip:

Maybe you can even make a list of "crafty gifts" or "store bought", and then list all the names under the different columns.

Where do we find inspiration?

I often get asked we I find inspiration for my layouts, or off the page projects.....

Well, from my photo's but mostly the paper. If you happen to live close to a good scrapbook store, take the time out to just browse! take your photo's with you, dont feel shy to match up in store.

Spending an hour in your favorite store is NOT a very long time.

How often do we get home and nothing matches up.

Your paper and photos should tell the same story....

Printers Tray

A printers tray is ideal to give to someone as a gift. Often we just a few pictures of friends and family, and thats really not enough to create a double page layout. Why not try making a printers tray, using all your little bits and bobs..... The color you decide on doesn't really matter, because this project is all about the tiny elements.

Finally getting with the program..

So, this is my first day of blogging about my favorite topic, SCRAPBOOKING!!!!! I live, sleep and well not eat scrapbooking....(cant say "eat", otherwise I would be paper thin!!!) I have decided to blog so that everyone gets to share in my passion for everything paper, ribbon, buttons, stickers... I have a love for the stationary department in any store that actually cannot be explained. I look for fascinating finds where ever I go....

It truely makes my scrapbooks fun and always different. I cannot wait to share new tips and techniques with you. I'll be sharing advise on cardmaking, scrapbooking, stamping and off the page projects.
